Solidarity Rally to Protect Good Jobs Is Expected to Draw Large Numbers of Supporters Including Affiliated Unions of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Saturday, November 23, 2013, a Solidarity Rally to Protect Good Jobs, and the vitality of the regional economy and the many businesses in Northwestern Pennsylvania will be held at the East Gate of the General Electric Plant (the corner of Main Street and Water Street) in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania. The Rally will held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. and is expected to be one of the largest in the region.
United Electrical Workers, (UE), Local 506 is holding the rally which will draw the support of organized labor in the Erie County area as well as the entire Tri-state area surrounding Northwestern Pennsylvania. Leaders and members of organized labor, the community, business and elected officials will all be showing their support in protecting good manufacturing jobs at G.E. and the economy of the entire region.
The rally will provide excellent visual opportunities for still and video photographers.
