SOLiD Wins World Class 300 Company and Next Global Champ Awards in South Korea

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SOLiD, the leader in in-building cellular and public safety infrastructure, today announced that the company has been selected to receive the World Class 300 and Next Global Champ awards in South Korea. This award is presented to companies by the South Korean Ministry of Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) in conjunction with the South Korean Institute for Advancement of Technology.

The World Class 300 corporate project was initiated by the South Korean government and private banks to nurture small- and medium-sized enterprises with growth potential to become global champions. SOLiD exceeded each of the criteria in 2016 to be considered for these awards including:

• Revenue of $149 million
• R&D as percentage of revenue at 5.6%
• Exports from South Korea as percentage of total revenue at 56.3%

Including SOLiD, the companies selected for the World Class 300 award had averages sales of $91 million, with an R&D to sales ratio of 4.3%, and exports from South Korea accounting for 56.6% of total sales.
