Solar Soccer Club Announces Reorganization and Appointment of Adrian Solca as Head of Soccer Operations, Executive Director of Coaching Elite Programs and Technical Director
DALLAS, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Solar Soccer Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Adrian Solca as Head of Soccer Operations, Executive Director of Coaching Elite Programs and Technical Director.
Mr. Solca has over 17 years of professional experience coaching competitive International and United States youth soccer and has spent the last 13 years as Technical Director for Solar Soccer Club. Mr. Solca is certified and maintains the UEFA Level "A" for coaching all levels of international and U.S. soccer. He carries a trainer diploma from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Bucharest, Romania. Mr. Solca has also enjoyed great success coaching youth soccer in the U.S. including numerous championships on the National, Regional, and State level. He has led teams to USYSA National Championship, winning prestigious Dallas Cup, Disney Showcase, DIGC, multiple times, while winning numerous regional and local events with both his boys and girls teams. In the process he had the privilege to coach 24 National Team players and numerous collegiate student athlete scholarship recipients. Mr. Solca has been critical to the success of building both the nationally acclaimed boys U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) and girls Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) programs for Solar Soccer Club.

Mr. Solca was a member of the Youth National Soccer team in Romania from 1990 to 1992. He played college soccer while at the National Academy of Physical Education and Sports and was named Most Valuable Player of the varsity team in 1995 and 1996. While at the National Academy he was on the prestigious Dean's list from 1993 through 1997 and represented the student body in the Academy's Senate. He was Valedictorian of his class at the National Academy when he graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He continued his studies and in 1998 attained his Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports.

In conjunction with the reorganization efforts, Kevin Smith has tendered his resignation from Solar Soccer Club, effective immediately. The Club would like to thank Mr. Smith for his service and valuable contribution to the Club and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
Solar Soccer Club was established in 1976 and is proud to be the oldest continuous soccer club in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Solar Soccer Club is a recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization established for the sole purpose of providing an opportunity for children to play youth soccer at a competitive level. Solar is recognized as one of the top competitive youth soccer clubs in the country. Many of our past players are now members of professional soccer clubs and on United States National Teams.
