Sol Systems CEO Yuri Horwitz Named Regional EY Entrepreneur of The Year™ 2014 Award Winner

WASHINGTON, June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- EY today announced that Yuri Horwitz, CEO of D.C. based solar financing firm, Sol Systems, received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Award in the emerging technologies category in Greater Washington. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Horwitz was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.

Mr. Horwitz was recognized for his leadership in tackling the solar industry's greatest financing challenges. Sol Systems represents investor clients such as utilities, banks, insurance companies, and Fortune 100 companies and places capital into solar energy assets on their behalf. Under Mr. Horwitz's leadership, Sol Systems firm has facilitated financing for nearly 100 MW of solar energy assets across the United States, and currently has executed term sheets in place for another 84.5 MW of solar deals through its tax structured investments, project purchases, and debt financing product.
