SoftKinetic Helps Kick Off Augmented World Expo By Participating In Hackathon
Company Encourages Developers to Create Something New on the Oculus Rift
BRUSSELS, May 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Augmented World Expo, Hall A Booth #22 –SoftKinetic®, the world's leading provider of 3D vision and gesture recognition solutions, today announced a new opportunity for developers to create something on the Oculus Rift using SoftKinetic technology, via the Wearables Hackathon contest at the Augmented World Expo (AWE). AWE will be held May 27-29 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, and the Hackathon will take place on Monday, May 26th and Tuesday, May 27th. SoftKinetic will also host a booth during the conference, where the company will demonstrate its technology on a variety of platforms including the Oculus and Android tablet. The booth is located in Hall A, booth #22.
During the Wearables Hackathon, teams from around the world will come together to develop new opportunities for some of the latest in wearable devices including the Oculus Rift. Judges will choose the top teams to present, and the winning Hack will be presented an Auggie Award during the AWE conference.
