SoftBank's SVF Investment Corp. Announces Closing of $603,750,000 Initial Public Offering
LONDON, Jan. 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- SVF Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: SVFAU) (the "Company") announced today the closing of its initial public offering of 60,375,000 units, including 7,875,000 units issued pursuant to the full exercise of underwriters' over-allotment option, at a price to the public of $10.00 per unit, resulting in gross proceeds of $603,750,000.
The Company's units began trading on The Nasdaq Capital Market ("Nasdaq") on January 8, 2021, under the ticker symbol "SVFAU." Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share, and one-fifth of one warrant to purchase one Class A ordinary share, for $10.00 per unit. In addition, an affiliate of the sponsor, entered into a forward purchase agreement that provides for the purchase of up to $300,000,000 forward purchase units, each consisting of one Class A ordinary share, or a forward purchase share, and one-fifth of one warrant to purchase one Class A ordinary share, or a forward purchase warrant, for $10.00 per unit, in a private placement to be closed substantially concurrently with the closing of the Company's initial business combination. When the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the Company expects that the Class A ordinary shares and warrants will be listed on Nasdaq under the symbols "SVFA" and "SVFAW," respectively.
