Sofidel Improves its Environmental Performance in Global Carbon Disclosure Report
Sofidel boosts its scores on the CDP 2018 report in the Climate Change and Forests Timber categories.
PORCARI, Italy, Feb. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Sofidel, one of the leading global manufacturers of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use, has further improved its performance on the CDP Report 2018, a global disclosure system that enables companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their environmental impacts. Sofidel was awarded an A- rating in the Climate Change category and an A- in the Forests Timber category, earning the company a place among the report's top scorers (Leadership).
In the Paper & Forestry sector, Sofidel ranked among the top businesses in the Climate Change and Forests Timber categories and scored significantly higher than the global averages, a C for Climate Change and B- for Forests Timber.
In 2017, the Sofidel Group obtained a B rating in the Climate Change and Forests Timber categories.
CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, is an international not-for-profit organization present in 50 countries that provides a global disclosure system for measuring, disclosing, managing and sharing environmental information that investors can use in decision-making processes.
