Sococo Names Chris L. Wheeler President

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sococo, the social communications company, announced today that Chris L. Wheeler has been promoted to President of Sococo, effective immediately. Co-founder and former President, Paul Brody, has been named Sococo's Chief Technology Officer. Co-Founder David Van Wie will continue as Chairman and CEO.

Wheeler, an early investor in Sococo, joined the company as SVP Global Sales and Strategy in May 2011. Prior to Sococo, Wheeler has held a variety of management and sales roles throughout Silicon Valley over the past 18 years. Most recently, he served as Vice President Sales at PRTM, an operations management consulting firm. Wheeler holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
