SOCMA, DHS to Hold 10th Annual Chemical Sector Security Summit
Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to give keynote address
WASHINGTON, June 30, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates and the Department of Homeland Security are pleased to announce the 10th Annual Chemical Sector Security Summit will be held July 19-21 at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, with DHS Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas giving the keynote address.
Mayorkas has served as Deputy Secretary of since December 2013. Prior to his current role with DHS, he served as Director of the department's United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the agency charged with operating the largest immigration system in the world.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary, the summit will also feature a commemorative video, regulatory updates from key DHS officials on Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards and other issues impacting the sector, as well as sessions on cyber security, personnel surety, transportation, threats to the chemical sector and opportunities to network with high-level officials from DHS and other agencies.
