Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics Seeks Journalism Award Nominees
Award Presentation to be held during SCCE Compliance and Ethics Institute, September 12-15, 2010 in Chicago, IL
MINNEAPOLIS, March 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) -- a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the role of compliance and ethics professionals, and advancing corporate governance, compliance and ethics on a global scale -- announced today it is seeking nominations for its 2010 Journalism Award. The award will be presented during the SCCE Compliance and Ethics Institute in Chicago, IL, September 12-15, 2010.
All nominations must be received by the SCCE by the end of business day, Monday, April 12, 2010.
"This award was established by the SCCE to recognize journalists who show insight into the compliance and ethics profession, and who promote public and governmental recognition of the field and/or the value of compliance and ethics programs," said Roy Snell, Chief Executive Officer, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
Award Criteria:
- The nominees are not limited to work published in any given year.
- Works that are submitted must have a major focus on corporate compliance and ethics programs and/or compliance and ethics professionals -- thus should not only be about corporate crime, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, corporate social responsibility, or similar areas.
- Works sponsored by or focused on the products or services of any one service provider, such as a helpline service, software provider, online training provider, etc., are not eligible.
- Works appearing in publications intended solely for the compliance and ethics field (i.e. trade press) are not eligible, unless the work has had a public impact.
- Blogs, Web sites, and books will not be considered.
Nominations may be submitted by anyone. Self-nominations are welcome. All nominations must include a copy of any material which forms the basis of the nomination and background information on the nominee. Selection decisions will be made by the SCCE.
