SocialMediaPlus Announces Additional Speakers
Business summit enhances tracks with nationally recognized experts
WEST CHESTER, Pa., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Eleven nationally recognized social media experts have been added to the growing list of speakers and presenters for the upcoming SocialMediaPlus, a one-day business summit planned for May 25 in Philadelphia. The event, scheduled for the Pennsylvania Convention Center, is expected to draw more than 1,000 participants from the mid-Atlantic region and will feature four education tracks and 28 seminars.
Rohit Bhargava, best selling author and senior vice president for digital strategy at Ogilvy, one of the world's top marketing agencies, will deliver the keynote address.
SocialMediaPlus features four education tracks – Executive, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, and IT – and 28 seminars where business owners, executives, vice presidents, directors and managers will learn proven strategies and tactics for utilizing social media and the technology that drives it. The curriculum was planned by leading social media professionals and is endorsed by the Social Media Club of Philadelphia.
Newly added speakers include:
- Phil Baumann, a Registered Nurse with a background in enterprise accounting and treasury operations. He will speak in the General Track about "Social Media in Healthcare."
- Doug Bellenger, vice president of products for Movitas, will talk to IT Track attendees about "Integrating Social Media into Your Mobile Experience."
- Connie Bensen, director of social media and community strategy at Alterian, will speak to the Sales & Marketing Track about "Measuring Social Media Effectiveness."
- Brian Cavoli, director of marketing and social media strategies at the recruitment consulting firm JCSI, will present his topic – "The Future of Recruiting is Social – Leveraging Social Media to Attract High quality Candidates Faster and at a Lower Cost" – to the Human Resources Track.
- Margaret (Molly) M. DiBianca, an attorney specializing in litigation and client counseling, will talk to the Human Resources Track about "Legal Risks (and How to Avoid Them) of Social Media and Hiring."
- Frank Eliason, senior director of national customer operations for Comcast, will give his presentation – "Your World is Changing. Are You Ready to Change with it" – to the general track.
- Mary Henige, director, social media, broadcast and digital communications at General Motors, will talk about "Executives and Social Media" in the Executive Track
- Ed Laczynski, founder and chief operating officer of LTech will discuss "Leveraging the Cloud for Social Media" in the IT Track.
- Kevin Popovic, founder of Ideahaus, will discuss "Social Media in Sales: The Return of the Customer Relationship" in the Sales & Marketing Track.
- Scott Reese, the founder and chief executive officer of Wool Labs, will present his topic – "IT, Analytics and Social Media" – in IT Track.
- David Thompson, chief executive officer of Genius.com, Inc., will address the Sales & Marketing Track on "Leveraging Sales 2.0 in Today's Socially Charged World."
