ARLINGTON, Va., July 22, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Bloomberg Law today announced it has added four new news channels focused on social justice, private equity, cannabis, and insurance law. They have been added to Bloomberg Law's existing lineup of 35-plus channels and are accessible at http://onb-law.com/BEyc50AFafz.
Social Justice News covers legal issues—including legislation, regulation, trends, case law, and analysis—surrounding fair access, opportunity, and treatment, zeroing in on the justice system, employment law, health care access, the environment, and corporate and law firm business practices.
"As our law firm and in-house clients look to develop, expand, and nurture their own organization's efforts at promoting a socially just culture, our new channel will educate them on the ways in which the legal field is continuing its long tradition of being champions for justice," said Cesca Antonelli, editor-in-chief, Bloomberg Industry Group.
The other new channels include:
- Private Equity, which focuses on significant legal and business developments involving private equity (PE) companies and the firms they own. Featured topics will include big new funds being raised, M&A deals involving PE, antitrust actions that put PE deals at risk, bankruptcies at PE-owned firms, and credit markets.
- Cannabis, which covers legal and business issues faced by the cannabis industry, across all practice areas, including banking, tax, M&A, health & pharmaceutical, employment, criminal, and IP.
- Insurance Law, which covers legal and business issues for the insurance industry, with a focus currently on business interruption issues due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
"These new channels focus on important issues that are top of mind for our readers," added Antonelli. "They represent what we've been doing best for decades: In times of turmoil and change, we cover legal developments and trends with a deeply sourced, expert staff with decades of experience."
