Socceroof, Brooklyn's New Rooftop Soccer Community, Launches Kickstarter
A New Generation of Soccer with a Skyline View
NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Socceroof launches its crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter to redefine the soccer experience with the city's first 5-a-side rooftop at 14 53rd St. in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
More than just a facility, Socceroof aims to enhance the way soccer is played and enjoyed by bringing together a community of soccer lovers of all ages, genders and walks of life. Finally, a new generation of urban soccer is coming to the US and it's in Brooklyn.
"With society relying on social networking as a way to connect, it was obvious to us that we needed to create an online community to disrupt and truly elevate the way people play soccer." – Jean David Tartour
Pushing the boundaries of traditional soccer, Socceroof embraces gamification to unite players both online and offline to experience soccer like never before. Through a web application, players will be able to keep track of their performance, build their dream team, schedule pick-up games, join leagues and ultimately define their own soccer experience.
Amateur players will feel and play like professionals on Socceroof's quick-paced urban field layout, while spectators get the VIP treatment with dinner or cocktails on the rooftop. Socceroof's exceptional multipurpose layout maximizes space for both players and fans alike to truly feel a part of New York's breathtaking skyline.
The concept of Socceroof is driven by Jean David Tartour, former founder of LE FIVE, a 5-a-side soccer community with 30 centers in Europe. The proven success of LE FIVE inspired Tartour to take urban soccer to the next level with Jerome Meary, MLS recruiter, and Jonathan Lupinelli, former university soccer player. They are confident that Brooklyn is the perfect place for the company's American roots.
Socceroof is a fresh face in the world's oldest sport, and with the help of the Kickstarter community they hope to make an impact and connect the passionate men, women and children of New York's soccer world.
By making a pledge, Socceroof is one step closer to building a foundation for a great community and creating a new legacy of soccer in New York. Visit Socceroof's Kickstarter page to back the project.
