SOCAP Board Chair Céline Dumais of L'Oréal Americas to Speak, Esther Shapiro Annual Customer Care Award Featured
DETROIT, Jan. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The SOCAP Great Lakes Chapter is a community of professionals from major brands and their business partners, all devoted to consumer affairs and customer satisfaction. Members attending the meeting will include those involved in consumer affairs, customer service, customer relationship management, inbound call centers, market research, systems integration and much more.
WHAT: Luncheon and professional networking event featuring remarks from SOCAP National Board Chair Céline Dumais, L'Oréal Americas, a town-hall style discussion with Brian Costanzo, SOCAP's new President and CEO, and presentation of the Esther Shapiro Award. The Esther Shapiro Award, named for the city of Detroit's long-standing director of consumer affairs, is presented annually for visionary leadership in customer service, ethical standards and consumer affairs. Meeting attendees will also gain background on the Esther Shapiro Scholarship, available to Henry Ford College students actively pursuing the institution's Customer Service certificate. Scholarship applications will be accepted through March 31, and the scholarship will be awarded later this year. Other awards will also be presented.
