SMT/PCB Contract Manufacturing Assets to Be Auctioned
Tiger Group and EquipNet to hold online auction for assembly lines, inventory, equipment and other assets from McDonald Technologies
CARROLLTON, Texas, April 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to the winding down of operations, Tiger Group and EquipNet will conduct an online-only sale on April 18th for SMT (surface mount technology) equipment, inventory, plant support and other assets owned by McDonald Technologies, an SMT/ PCB contract manufacturer. The assets include three SMT assembly lines, test equipment, more than $2.5 million of inventory, machine shop and plant support equipment, and office furniture and equipment.
Online bidding for the assets will commence April 11 at www.SoldTiger.com. Bidding will close in rapid succession, live auction style, on April 18 at 10:30 a.m. (CT). All bidders are required to register prior to the sale at www.SoldTiger.com. Previews of the assets being offered in the auction will be held at the company's headquarters, located at 2310 McDaniel Dr., Carrollton, on April 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CT).

SMT and PCB assembly equipment up for bid includes three Fuji SMT assembly lines that feature chip shooters, high speed chip placers and more. Also available are DEK auto paste dispenser and automated solder paste applications, Universal insertion equipment, and a Stoelting automated PCB wash system.
Quality control, testing and support equipment include a VisionMaster laser solder inspection system, Teradyne circuit testers, Matheson environmental testing systems, temperature controllers, test chambers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and more.
Available plant support assets include a complete machine shop featuring a vertical mill, grinder, lathe and support tools, as well as forklifts, pallet jacks, worktables, and more.
The facility's vast $2.5 million-plus inventory includes a tremendous volume of new, case- packed electronic components, electromechanical assembly parts, wire and wire harnesses, and related product.
Office equipment includes desks, chairs, conference room furnishings, and file cabinets, plus computer systems, server and telecom equipment, full-feature copiers and printers and much more.
