SMRP Announces Valuable Standardized Metrics Included Now as Member Benefit
ATLANTA, July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) announces its Standardized Metrics are now included as part of membership and available online for SMRP members: http://library.smrp.org/metrics/.
The Standardized Metrics, commonly referred to as the "Metrics," are a set of 67 reports consisting of formulas, ratios, statistics, definitions, and references to provide a consistent benchmark for maintenance and reliability professionals to measure their key performance indicators. Previously sold as a stand-alone product, the metrics are now a benefit of SMRP membership and still available to purchase for non-members at $50 for one or $395 for all 67.
The SMRP Standardized Metrics were developed through a collaboration of M&R professionals based on their years of experience in the industry," said Bruce Hawkins, CMRP, director of technical excellence for Management Resources Group, N. Charleston, S.C. and director of the SMRP Body of Knowledge, which includes the Best Practices Committee that produced the Standardized Metrics. "Whether you're new to the field or have 20 years under your belt, this data can make you better."
Shon Isenhour, chair of SMRP and director of education for GPAllied in Charleston, S.C., said this is a great opportunity for those in the Society to experience additional value.
"In addition to numerous member benefits including special member rates on SMRP certification exams, annual conferences, a bi-monthly magazine, networking, local chapter events, and Shared Interest Groups, members have found SMRP publications found in the Library of Knowledge on www.smrp.org to be significant tools to help them in their maintenance and reliability careers."
SMRP membership is $155 annually for individual members. A variety of other company membership levels and corresponding benefits may be found at www.smrp.org/membership or by contacting Marella Bivins, SMRP membership coordinator, at [email protected].
