Smooth Sailing Ahead for China International Boat Show 2017 as It Reveals an Impressive Line Up Next Month
SHANGHAI, March 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 22nd edition of the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS 2017) is now the Asia's largest and most established boating event for the maritime industry. Held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 26-29 April 2017, CIBS will welcome over 500 companies from 20 exhibiting countries and will host over 30 international product launches including Rodman Spain, Crownline from the United States and Drago from Greece. Chinese boat manufacturers and shipyards will also be showcasing an impressive collection from the likes of Far East Boats, Sunbird Yacht and Shanghai Double Happiness Yachts.
China's most iconic boat show offers senior decision makers the chance to see the most sought-after nautical products and water sports trends in the market. CIBS is pleased to welcome back New Zealand Trade & Enterprise who will bring 8 famous New Zealand companies onsite, including: Pacific Aerials, BEP, Hella Marine, Fusion Entertainment, Vetus-Maxwell, Naiad, Hamilton Jet and Navico.
More than just an exhibition
China Boat Industry & Trade Association will bring three professional forums to CIBS 2017: The China International Forum on Yacht Design and Construction Technology, the International Forum on Yacht and Waterfront Leisure Industry Development and a high level symposium calling on the government along with industry professionals to discuss the yacht and waterfront leisure industry development.
The Leisure Carnival is one of the exciting feature attractions at this year's show. A large, outdoor pool will allow visitors to engage in water activities such as canoeing and stand up paddle boarding and watch demonstrations by sports enthusiasts including wakeboarding. The Australian expert, Terry Wise, will also be hosting a sharing session on the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race and the Dongfeng racing team will be onsite to share their experiences with visitors.
A growing industry
China's fast growing economy and the development of yachting infrastructure, such as marinas, are increasing demand for private boats and water sports. "China's coastal areas provide the perfect playground for smaller yachts and water activities. The current confidence in this sector and the importance of CIBS as a sales platform is echoed in feedback from both our exhibitors and the international buyers," said Helena Gao, Director of Corporate Business Development, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo Ltd. The appeal and affordability of small to mid-sized boats are gaining popularity in China, with local and international companies using CIBS to target a wealth of interested buyers during the four-day event.
CIBS 2017 has quickly become the leading platform for the regional leisure maritime industry attracting local and international buyers from 53 countries. Additional knowledge programmes and networking events alongside CIBS will present more opportunities to an influential gathering, making it an unparalleled platform to showcase to China's nautical investors and enthusiasts.
