SmithAmundsen LLC Opens Indianapolis Office Continuing Midwest Growth
CHICAGO, Ill., May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of SmithAmundsen LLC, headquartered in Chicago, is pleased to announce the opening of an Indianapolis office which expands both the scope of services offered by the firm and its geographic presence in the Midwest.
Constance Lindman, Dennis Schell, and Eric Lamb, experienced Intellectual Property (IP) attorneys, have joined as partners and bring a dedicated IP practice to the firm. Alyssa Rogers, practicing corporate law, and Suzanne Newcomb, providing labor and employment services, have also joined the new Indianapolis office.

Connie Lindman has more than twenty years of experience in intellectual property law. Her practice includes negotiation of software agreements (license, support, OEM, VAR, SaaS, etc.) as well as a wide variety of other intellectual property and technology agreements including patent, trademark and copyright license agreements, distribution agreements, technology transfer agreements, and professional services agreements. Connie assists clients in protecting their intellectual property through counseling, registration of trademarks and copyrights, and dispute resolution. Connie received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Indiana University and her law degree from Indiana University School of Law, magna cum laude.
Dennis Schell is a licensed patent attorney and brings more than ten years of experience representing individuals and companies in matters involving patent prosecution, patent litigation and opinions. Industries served by Dennis include electronics, software, medical device, transportation, sporting goods, communication, process control, security and defense, construction, and agriculture. Dennis received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University School of Engineering and his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law – Bloomington, cum laude. A lifelong aviator, before starting his legal career, Dennis served as a US Air Force F-15E Instructor Weapon Systems Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer.
Eric Lamb has prosecuted both trademark and copyright applications in the U.S. and assists clients with the management of their international IP portfolios. He advises clients on legal issues stemming from the internet and social media networks. Eric litigates both intellectual property and general civil matters. Eric received a B.S. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a triple major in computer information systems, business process management, and operations management. Eric received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law.
Alyssa Rogers is an experienced corporate attorney who has successfully negotiated and closed numerous business transactions ranging up to $30 million in diverse industries such as manufacturing, health care services, financial services and automotive dealers and auctions. She has assisted companies with raising capital using private securities offerings, and regularly advises businesses on all types of commercial, corporate law, business succession planning and real estate matters. Alyssa is also knowledgeable in the area of municipal law, in particular with respect to tax-exempt municipal bond transactions. She received her law degree from the Indiana University School of Law, cum laude, and is fluent in Spanish.
Suzanne Newcomb, a skilled litigator, brings 16 years of experience to the Labor & Employment group. Suzanne litigates federal and state court discrimination claims and other employment related disputes, and represents clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state and local civil rights agencies. Suzanne also helps clients avoid litigation by tailoring employment policies to meet each client's unique needs and by helping them to navigate complicated human resource concerns as they arise. She received her law degree from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis.
