Smith to Lead Ogilvy Public Relations' Global Corporate Practice
Seasoned European Corporate Reputation Specialist Appointed to Prominent Global Role
NEW YORK, Dec. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, is delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart Smith as Managing Director of its Global Corporate Practice, effective February 1.
With more than 20 years of experience, Smith brings strong expertise in developing international corporate reputation programs for his clients and leading multi-national teams. Smith joins Ogilvy PR from Hill & Knowlton where he was head of the agency's EMEA Corporate Practice for the past three years. Previously, he was CEO of Edelman's UK operations. He will report to Global CEO Christopher Graves.

As managing director, Smith will be responsible for building on the success of Ogilvy PR's significant presence in the corporate reputation and branding arena. Smith has led multinational and global campaigns for some of the world's leading brands and brings experience from leadership positions on both the client side and in agencies.
His experience of developing strategy spans a wide range of disciplines: integrated marketing; campaign design; change management; digital; crisis management and issues preparedness; organizational design; stakeholder relations; CSR; corporate reputation; research and insights; and internal communications. His sector experience includes energy, consumer products, technology, professional services, healthcare and beverage. He is also a seasoned new business veteran.
At Hill & Knowlton, Smith oversaw all aspects of the practice's innovation, intellectual property, business development and client service.

Stuart has a background in environmental science and earned a doctoral degree from Oxford University. He lectures regularly on University courses in the United States and United Kingdom.
