NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jimmy Pardo's award-winning podcast "Never Not Funny" is holding its third annual Pardcast-a-thon fundraiser to benefit Smile Train. The 12-hour marathon event will stream live at http://pardcast.com from the ACME Theatre in Los Angeles and feature a round-robin of over twenty all-star comedy guests. Jimmy will be joined by co-hosts Matt Belknap and Pat Francis.
This year's Pardcast-a-thon kicks off Friday, November 25th at 6:00pm PST / 9:00pm EST. Celebrities scheduled to participate include Andy Richter, Sarah Silverman, Greg Behrendt, Walter Koenig from "Star Trek" and other surprise guests.
To date, the Pardcast-a-thons have raised over $55,000 for Smile Train.
"Smile Train greatly appreciates Jimmy's continued support to help children with cleft lip and palate in the developing world. We are only able to provide free cleft surgery for poor children around the world because of donors and supporters like Jimmy and his fans. The Pardcast-a-thon is a wonderful event and we are very thankful to have Jimmy as part of the Smile Train family," says Smile Train Executive Director Priscilla Ma. "During the holiday season, it is especially important to remember those who are less fortunate and hopefully find a way to help. The Pardcast-a-thon is a great opportunity to do this," adds Ma.
"Never Not Funny" is a paid subscriber podcast currently in its ninth season. It was named an Editor's Pick by Esquire Magazine and "The #1 Relatively Obscure Thing You Need to Be Paying Attention To" by GQ. It has also been named a top comedy podcast by LA Weekly, The AV Club, iTunes and USA Today's pop culture blog Pop Candy. Full audio and video episodes are available at http://pardcast.com. The first twenty minutes of each episode are available for free through iTunes.
In addition to "Never Not Funny," Jimmy Pardo hosts the celebrity interview series "The Pardo Patrol" for TeamCoco.com and opens for Conan O'Brien at "Conan" tapings.
