Smile Train Kicks Off 'Give Smiles' Campaign on Biggest Giving Day of the Year, Giving Tuesday
NEW YORK, Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Entering its seventh year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. In celebration of the day and the season of giving, Smile Train, the world's largest cleft organization, is kicking off their annual 'Give Smiles' campaign. Smile Train is asking supporters to donate and #GiveSmiles on Giving Tuesday, with the goal of raising $130,000 to provide cleft care to an additional 520 children in honor of the day.
Smile Train will also be participating in a livestream on Giving Tuesday hosted by Devin Thorpe. Thorpe is a journalist, author, professional speaker, and founder of the Your Mark on the World Center, a mission-driven business working to solve the world's biggest problems. The 'streamathon' will be live for 24 hours on Giving Tuesday, and Smile Train's President and CEO Susannah Schaefer will be live at 3:30pm EST where she will be talking about Smile Train's sustainable model for cleft care, and the organization's plans for Giving Tuesday.
