Smartphone Video Intercom Provides Enhanced Security at 221 Bergen in Harrison
HARRISON, N.J., Oct. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A touchscreen and mobile app are at the core of the security system at 221 Bergen, a boutique building of luxury rentals in Harrison, N.J. announced Coldwell Banker New Homes. ButterflyMX™ - the first Smartphone Video Intercom Platform - monitors visitors, including providing photo and time stamp tracking and video messaging.
"Residents can feel especially safe and secure, knowing that the ButterflyMX™ is on the job 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week," said David Schoner, Vice President, CB New Homes. "This is a cutting-edge security system that utilizes the way people already communicate via Smartphones."
Visitors check in at the touchscreen in the lobby where they scroll through resident names. Once they find the right person, they press a button, which automatically dials the resident's Smartphone—whether they are at home or work. Residents receive a notification on their phones and can pick up to receive a video chat, or ignore the call and receive a video or text message. Residents also may open the main building door to visitor(s) by pressing a button on their phones. Those without Smartphones may get a regular phone call or receive notification at their computer or other Internet-accessible device.
ButterflyMX™ allows residents to provide virtual keys to delivery people, contractors, maids and others. Virtual keys activate and expire at pre-designated times. In addition, 221 Bergen managers can send building-wide alerts to residents via the system.
The secure entry system is just one of the amenities at 221 Bergen. The building features one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a washer and dryer. Residences include luxury features such as 9-foot ceilings, recessed and pendant lighting in the kitchen, ceramic tile in the bathrooms and carpet in the bedrooms. Several home designs feature walk-in closets. The two-bedroom apartments are great for roommates, because they feature "split bedrooms" (no shared walls) for additional privacy. Elevators are on-site for added convenience.
Other amenities include the Residents' Lounge with its own Starbucks machine, Rooftop Terrace for social gatherings, and 24-hour Fitness Center with Life Fitness equipment. The Yoga Room has a Fitness On Demand kiosk with 140 pre-recorded classes. Private garages, surface parking, and freestanding storage units are available.
Monthly rentals start at $1,700. 221 Bergen is open seven days-per-week by appointment. Call (862) 231-6190 or visit http://www.221bergen.com.
