NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Smartling announced the availability of its certified LINK cartridge for Demandware. The new translation cartridge enables Demandware clients to interact seamlessly with Smartling's award-winning Global Fluency Platform to deliver localized shopping experiences to customers around the globe.
As a Demandware LINK Technology Partner, Smartling enables users to easily create and manage multilingual product catalogs and content pages. Delivering localized store experiences increases customer acquisition and retention, and is a key to driving global growth. Adding to its comprehensive suite of enterprise content platform Connectors, Smartling's Demandware LINK cartridge marks another key milestone in the company's mission to help aspirational brands be fluent in every language.
With Smartling's LINK cartridge, translation of content can be requested directly from the Demandware environment, eliminating the need to manually export the content or deal with cumbersome copy and paste tasks. New content is detected automatically, passed to translation teams with customizable workflows, and translations are returned to the Demandware environment when complete. This seamless integration enables users to focus on creating great content while the Smartling platform keeps multilingual versions in sync. The Global Fluency Platform drives localization efficiency, leveraging previous translations to boost quality and speed, while maintaining consistency and reducing translation costs. Translation progress is tracked and displayed directly in the Demandware Commerce interface, eliminating the need to switch between systems to monitor project status.
"With our new LINK cartridge, Demandware clients can facilitate translation without the need to leave the familiar Demandware interface," said Matt DeLoca, vice president of channels & alliances at Smartling. "We're very pleased to bring this powerful new functionality to Demandware's world-class customers."
Smartling's technology is transforming the way global content is created and managed, enabling companies to quickly enter new markets and create native brand experiences that successfully engage local prospects and customers. The Translation LINK cartridge for Demandware is the latest in a growing suite of Enterprise Platform Connectors Smartling offers, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), HubSpot and Sitecore – all built on Smartling's restful API.
Smartling's LINK cartridge for Demandware will be demoed at the Shop.org conference (booth 1532), which takes place October 5-7 in Philadelphia.
