Smartling Appoints Judd Marcello as VP of Marketing
Technology industry veteran and former Salesforce/ExactTarget executive to lead the company's demand generation, brand development and global market awareness efforts
NEW YORK, Feb. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Smartling today announced the appointment of Judd Marcello as the company's vice president of marketing. In this role, Marcello will lead Smartling's demand generation, brand development and global market awareness initiatives, as the company intensifies its focus on accelerating growth and extending its automated, cloud-based translation management platform to new markets around the world.
Marcello is a seasoned sales and marketing leader with more than 20 years of experience working at some of the world's biggest technology and consumer brands. Throughout his career, Marcello has gained extensive experience in developing revenue and new market growth strategies, demand generation, acquisition/retention strategies, data-driven marketing, as well as product and brand marketing.

Prior to joining Smartling, Marcello was the senior director of marketing EMEA for Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Previously, he was director of marketing EMEA for ExactTarget, prior to its acquisition by Salesforce. Before that, Marcello was director of marketing and public relations EMEA at eBay Enterprise Marketing Solutions. He's also held demand generation and brand marketing roles at companies such as Black & Decker, Canon Australia, Nestle and Welch's.
