Smartcool Systems Appointment Elden Schorn to Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Elden Schorn to the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Schorn brings with him a wealth of experience within both the North American corporate, as well as government, sectors.

Mr. Schorn is the current President, and founder, of Windstone Financial Corp., a company providing financial and management advisory services, as well as governmental relations assistance, to the private sector, as well as federal and provincial governments. Schorn has also held senior positions in both the Federal Government, and the Government of Alberta. His roles within the Federal Government have included Director General of Western Diversification Canada, Administrator of the Northern Pipeline Agency, as well as Consul and Senior Investment Advisor for Canada at the Canadian Consulate, based in New York.

Within the Government of Alberta, Mr. Schorn has held the role of Executive Director of Northern Development and is also no stranger to the BC region, where he has held the post of Head of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Association in British Columbia.
