Smart IOPS Boosts Executive Capabilities with Appointments of Top Storage Leaders
Storage Industry Veterans George Tehrani and Rick Hazell Join to Broaden the Company's Business Reach
CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Smart IOPS announced today that George Tehrani and Rick Hazell have joined the company as Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Sales, respectively. Tehrani is responsible for the overall creation and implementation of marketing strategies, including product management, strategy and brand to further accelerate top line revenue growth. Hazell will be responsible for all direct and reseller sales, as well as growing customer accounts and partnerships that align with the company's core business objectives.

A 24-year storage industry veteran, Tehrani most recently served as executive director of strategic marketing for the Storage Product Business Unit at Toshiba. In this role, Tehrani led all hyperscale data center SSD product marketing programs and campaigns driving retention and acquisition. Prior to Toshiba, Tehrani held senior leadership roles at Lenovo, in the company's Enterprise Product Group, and IBM storage marketing and product management organizations. He began his career at Western Digital Corporation, where he held a number of marketing and product leadership roles.

Hazell brings over 30 years of semiconductor, storage and Cloud computing experience to Smart IOPS and his strength and expertise in driving revenue will help the company capitalize on both established and emerging markets. Hazell was most recently VP of Sales at xTV, a cloud service provider, and previously held Sales leadership roles at SMART Modular Technologies, Sanmina-SCI, Viking, HCD and OCZ Technology.
