Slight Increase in Slot Machine Revenue During October Reported by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board posted on its web site today the monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during October.
According to the report, gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos rose 0.3% in October of this year to $188,973,185 compared to the $188,395,773 in gross revenue generated in October 2012.
Tax revenue in October of this year was $101,248,705.
In a comparison of just the 11 casinos operating in October 2013 that were also open for the full month of October 2012, revenue fell slightly by 0.6%.
Gross revenue for each of the casinos operating in October 2013 is as follows, with the percentage change reflected for those casinos that were operating in October of both years.

The average number of operating slot machines throughout Pennsylvania, at the 12 casinos, was 26,598 in October 2013 compared to 26,168 at the 11 casinos in October 2012.
