Slalom Consulting Launches Philanthropy Fellow Program for Local Nonprofits
Slalom's Seattle office partners with United Way of King County for pro bono services
SEATTLE, Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Slalom Consulting is launching its new Philanthropy Fellow Program, a pro bono service for local nonprofit organizations.
Each quarter, one Slalom consultant will be identified as a "Philanthropy Fellow" and have the opportunity to work with a chosen organization in the Seattle area for a three-month period. During that time, the consultant will provide consulting and project management services, assisting the nonprofit with specific goals and business objectives free of charge.
Managed by Slalom.org, Slalom's community-focused arm, the program will deepen partnerships with local nonprofit organizations and offer Slalom employees additional opportunities to make a difference in their local communities.
"Slalom's local model is oriented around the community, and we embrace the idea of giving back. This is a great way for us to support local organizations who are making a difference," said Brian Jacobsen, general manager at Slalom's Seattle office. "We're excited to launch this initiative to give our time and talent to help Seattle nonprofits achieve their goals."
The first organization to benefit from this program is the United Way of King County (UWKC). Slalom will provide consulting services and project management to help coordinate and drive fundraising efforts for an annual UWKC giving campaign.
"At United Way of King County, we bring together people and organizations with the passion, expertise and resources to get things done," said Jared Erlandson, public relations manager at United Way of King County. "We're excited to have Slalom as a partner and believe its support will help this year's giving campaigns be even more successful."
