Skyward's 2018 Leader in Excellence Awards Now Open

STEVENS POINT, Wis., Oct. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Skyward, a leading K-12 school administrative software provider, is accepting entries for its fourth annual Leader in Excellence Awards. The program recognizes innovative K-12 districts and individuals using Skyward's solution to create a better learning environment and workplace. To submit an entry for the 2018 Leader in Excellence Awards, districts and individuals are encouraged to visit www.skyward.com/leaders.

"We have been fortunate to recognize some phenomenal leaders throughout the country the past three years," said Ray Ackerlund, chief marketing officer at Skyward. "This year, we are excited to hear from even more districts and individuals who are using our SIS or ERP systems to empower their staff and promote student successes."

K-12 school districts or staff members who used Skyward's School Management System during the 2016-2017 school year are eligible to apply for the award. Nominees must demonstrate how their district has made improvements by using the School Management System. In addition, a Skyward account executive, project manager, product manager, or team leader must be included as an application reference for the district or individual. The closing date for entries is Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at 5 p.m. CST, and winners will be announced in early 2018.

Winners will earn one free registration to the 16th annual Skyward International Conference (iCon) at TradeWinds Island Resort in St. Pete Beach, Fla., and will be recognized for their success at the conference's opening remarks on March 8, 2018. Additionally, recipients will have the option to participate in education-based media opportunities to showcase their thought leadership and innovation.

2017 Leader in Excellence individual award recipients included Jacque Deckard, data management coordinator at Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation in Mooresville, Indiana, Jennifer Dossett, information systems specialist at Alcoa City Schools in Alcoa, Tennessee, and Scott Hansen, director of technology and information systems at Marion County School District in Ocala, Florida. District recipients included Birdville Independent School District in Texas, Round Lake Area Schools District 116 in Illinois, and Walled Lake Consolidated Schools in Michigan.
