Skysa Releases 'Interactive Sharing App'
Interactive Sharing is a revolutionary new way to share website content
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Knoxville-based Skysa (http://www.skysa.com) has launched a brand new web-based sharing system dubbed "Interactive Sharing" that works in conjunction with the Skysa App Bar and is expected to revolutionize the way people share content on websites.
Content sharing has made huge headway over the past few years; however, current sharing methods have two major drawbacks. First, content sharing is unfocused, only allowing a user to share the page as a whole. Second, any conversation associated with the content is off of the site it appears on. Interactive Sharing from Skysa solves both these issues, making content and interaction the focus as it is meant to be.
When a visitor uses the Skysa Interactive Sharing app they are able to share the entire page or highlight specific areas of text, images and videos on the webpage they are viewing. Once a selection has been made, users are prompted to add a comment that is viewable to those who click on the shared link. The final step is to select a system to share the content to, some of which are Digg, Delicious, Twitter and Facebook. The system works in conjunction with traditional sharing services, which, when combined with the intuitive design, creates an experience that's easy for anyone to get the word out.
The real magic happens when someone clicks the link back to the website. Skysa's Interactive Sharing system remembers the specific text, image or video that was shared and displays it in a highlighted box, along with comments people have left about it. For the first time ever, visitors can create a conversation on your own website about a specific piece of content without any clutter. The highlight box has additional options to quickly re-share, close the highlight box, and collapse comments.
Skysa has published a video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjSTsqB7ErU) that further illustrates the technology and the benefits of using Interactive Sharing over traditional sharing.
The Skysa Bar is free to use and is easily added to any website with just one line of code. No complicated software to install; just paste the code and select your apps. Since Launch into Beta on Dec 28th, 2009 over 1400 websites have signed up to use Skysa on their websites.
