"SKYGEN USA is on the verge of transforming virtually everything about the way healthcare benefits are delivered," said Craig Kasten, chairman of the board and co-founder of SKYGEN USA. "The addition of these highly accomplished professionals reflects our commitment to that cause, and to growing our company. To be able to attract leaders of the caliber of Linda, Lance, and James says a lot about who we are and where we are going. We expect all three will be instrumental in helping us advance our ability to service our clients and re-engineer the delivery of healthcare in a way that benefits all Americans."
As chief marketing officer, Linda Bernier will lead the marketing organization's efforts to continue to position SKYGEN USA as an industry leader in driving results and innovation in health benefits technologies and solutions. She will also be a driving force in bringing its formerly separate product and solution offerings under a singular SKYGEN USA brand. Ms. Bernier will be responsible for the development of the company's go-to-market strategy, establishing processes to measure and improve customer satisfaction, and leading the evolution of the company's products and services across all health insurance market segments.
Ms. Bernier joins SKYGEN USA from Welltok where she was a senior executive responsible for driving government and commercial market segments in a highly scalable way to meet unique population health management goals. Lance Stewart was appointed to the position of chief growth officer, where he will lead all sales efforts for SKYGEN USA and hold primary responsibility for the company's growth. Prior to joining SKYGEN USA, Mr. Stewart was senior vice president and market president at Medecision, a leading software as a service (SaaS) population health and risk management company. He previously held a variety of executive marketing and sales roles at GNS Healthcare, eMids Technologies, and McKesson Corporation. Mr. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Tulsa.
James Purko has been named to the position of chief financial officer, where he will be responsible for ensuring the overall financial performance of SKYGEN USA. He will lead the financial function in establishing and reporting key financial and operational metrics, deepening the company's commitment to delivering ROI to its clients.
Mr. Purko most recently was chief financial officer at Connecture, Inc., a web-based consumer shopping, enrollment, and retention company for health insurance distribution.
