Sky Bet Launches Scorecast Betting on Mobile Ahead of Festive Footy Fixtures
LEEDS, England, December 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Leading bookmaker and online betting experts, Sky Bet, has today launched scorecast betting on its mobile platform in response to overwhelming demand from its customers.
The Leeds-based firm is one of only two bookmakers whose mobile platform has the capability to offer scorecast betting, where a single bet is placed on the first goalscorer and correct score of a match. Football fans will welcome the introduction of the hugely popular market ahead of the busy Christmas period.
Scorecast betting is one of a number of recent enhancements to Sky Bet's mobile betting platform, which has undergone phenomenal growth over the last six months, with 30% of all bets struck with the firm now being placed via that channel. Sky Bet worked with Swedish company Mobenga, leaders in the development of mobile sportsbooks, to develop the feature.
Sky Bet's Sportsbook Mobile Product Manager, Ben Kamara, said: "The ability to place scorecast bets quickly and easily on mobile was at the very top of our customers' wish list so we're pleased to have the new feature in place ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.
"Our mobile partners Mobenga have delivered a great customer experience, not only in the implementation of scorecast betting but in the development of the hugely popular Sky Bet mobile apps."
Sky Bet is offering new customers a completely free £10 bet, with no deposit required. Register now.
