SkinCeuticals Announces The Launch Of A New In-Office Treatment
The CryoCorrect Treatment Effectively Removes Unwanted Dark Spots & Skin Tags
NEW YORK, March 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SkinCeuticals, a leader in advanced skincare technology, announces the launch of the CryoCorrect Treatment. This new non-invasive, in-office treatment gently freezes away unwanted age spots, sun spots and skin tags from the face, hands and body in as little as one treatment.
Following a full body skin check, this treatment features the SkinCeuticals CryoCorrect PRECISION™ pen, an FDA cleared device that dispenses a precise flow of carbon dioxide (CO2). CO2 freezes the skin at a milder temperature than traditional cryogens like liquid nitrogen, which is extremely cold and commonly used to remove a wide range of unwanted spots from the skin. In contrast, the milder temperature of CO2 results in a softer, shallower, more comfortable freeze, and is more likely to leave the skin surrounding the unwanted spot intact.
The CryoCorrect Treatment is fast and accurate, targeting spots with a precise micro-fine jet of CO2 gas for 5-8 seconds to gently freeze away the unwanted skin cells, with little-to-no downtime and minimal discomfort. As a brand committed to scientific research and clinical results, the trials conducted on SkinCeuticals CryoCorrect Treatment by SkinCeuticals and its independent partners demonstrated proof of its effectiveness in removing unwanted cosmetic spots and skin tags. This test was a 6-week, single-center, clinical study conducted on 72 subjects, show:
- Significant improvement of dark spots of varying size and shade, with 66% of subjects showing complete removal of dark spots by week 6.
- 98% of patients showed improvement in dark spot intensity and 86% of patients showed improvement in dark spot size by 6 weeks.
- 96% of patients saw complete removal of a skin tag by 4 weeks.
The recovery process varies from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on patient response. Visible improvement can be seen in as early as 4 weeks with healthy skin appearing from week 4–12.
"One of our main initiatives at SkinCeuticals is to highlight the importance of protecting skin against sun damage and educating the public on the importance of regular skin checks," says Christina Fair, Head of U.S. SkinCeuticals. "Through this new treatment, we are thrilled to provide patients with an elegant and affordable solution to remove unwanted sun spots and skin tags while highlighting the importance of overall skin health."
Complement this in-office treatment by pairing SkinCeuticals' triple antioxidant vitamin C serum Phloretin CF® with SkinCeuticals broad spectrum sunscreen Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50, which have been tested safe for use post-CryoCorrect Treatment. Phloretin CF® is shown to improve skin smoothness and general appearance of the treated area at one week post-CryoCorrect Treatment* while diminishing the appearance of discoloration. Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 has an ultra-sheer formula that helps protect skin from future discoloration and is safe for use on sensitive skin.
