LONDON, March 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 13-17 Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Network will present a course titled EQ Certification: Building Capacity for Transformation with Emotional Intelligence that trains professionals to deliver innovative tools for individual and organizational change. Emotional intelligence is a skill set that allows individuals to forge stronger, better relationships with others by recognizing, understanding and managing emotions.

This five-day workshop is taught by Josh Freedman, CEO of Six Seconds Global Network and a leader in the field of emotional intelligence (see bio below). The course offers an opportunity to learn the concepts of emotional intelligence (EQ) and apply them using Six Seconds' unique model. Participants take away a proven approach to EQ instruction and a powerful toolbox of exercises. The course includes experiencing the SEI assessment, Six Seconds' trademark measurement of emotional intelligence.
This certification is focused on teaching people how to develop the skills and competencies through media, experiential learning, dialogue, and self-reflection. As Lee Hays, Assistant Vice President at Americredit, put it, "This course gave me a chance to slow down and really pay attention to my own emotional patterns. This will help me as a leader, parent and friend."
In order for professionals to provide superior training based on emotional intelligence, they need to develop their own EQ skills. A major focus of the training is developing the participant's own emotional intelligence – which creates a powerful learning experience. Jennifer Kennett, Director of Elements Wellness Centre, said this program is "The most meaningful and practical training I have ever attended."
The course is particularly beneficial for leaders, and HR professionals in organizational development, leadership and learning who see the need to raise self-awareness and interpersonal skills in their employees – and themselves. Many educators, coaches and counselors also attend these certification trainings to see how to incorporate emotional intelligence into their classrooms, schools and practices.
"The course was one of the most formative and inspiring courses I have ever attended in my 24-year professional career," recalled Spencer Nash, a professional in financial services and a London Certification Course participant in 2013.
