The Small Business Administration urges those affected by Tropical Storm Irene that occurred on Aug. 27 - Sept. 1, 2011, to visit these Centers before they close to obtain one-on-one assistance and information about the disaster assistance program. The SBA also encourages homeowners, renters and businesses who received applications to return their completed applications as quickly as possible.
The SBA has approved nearly $2 million in Disaster Assistance Loans for residents and business owners in Connecticut. "Currently, 52 home and business disaster loans have been approved in the amount of $1,992,500 for affected survivors," said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA's Field Operations Center East in Atlanta.
