Site Study Dashboard White Paper Released by the Society for Clinical Research Sites
ELLICOTT CITY, Md., Oct. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- After meeting during the last year, the Site Study Dashboard working group at the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) has released the Site Study Dashboard White Paper. The paper was released on October 15, 2016 at the Global Site Solutions Summit.
During the course of a clinical research study, sponsors and CRO collect large amounts of data about site performance. However, this data is seldom provided to the sites. If sites had access to this data, they could use it to benchmark their performance against other sites and determine where they should focus their quality improvement efforts. SCRS has taken the lead in developing a set of standards for sharing this information with sites.
"We surveyed sites and learned that most sites value the same kind of information," said Christine Pierre, President of SCRS. "Helping sponsors and CROs understand that this is information that they already have and that they can focus on a few key metrics was the logical next step."
The paper lays out nine key metrics that can be shared with sites and the methodology of how the data can be shared to enhance the relationship with the site. It also provides insight into the format of data that sites are most likely to find meaningful. The white paper is available for complimentary download here.
SCRS will advocate for the adoption of the Site Study Dashboard to become an industry standard.
