NEW YORK, Aug. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) today announced that it will broadcast extensive coverage of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions—including a dedicated, limited-run "Convention Radio" channel—delivering breaking news, live coverage, reaction and analysis from a wide range of perspectives across multiple channels from the heart of each event.

SiriusXM's exclusive "Convention Radio" channel will kick off on the first day of the Republican National Convention, August 27, and air from 6:00 am – 7:00 pm ET daily through August 30 on SiriusXM channel 142 and on SiriusXM Patriot Plus online. "Convention Radio" will also air from the Democratic National Convention from September 4-6 from 6:00 am – 7:00 pm ET on SiriusXM channel 142 and on SiriusXM Left Plus online.
