Annual event promises exclusive tastings and the chance to learn more about winemaking
YORK, Pa., Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Wine enthusiasts can take a special behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process with the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail's Wine Just off the Vine Event. The exclusive event, which gives visitors a chance to sample freshly-pressed wines from the 2011 harvest, will take place November 12-13 and November 19-20 at all wineries along the new Mason-Dixon Wine Trail.
This is the third year for the Wine Just off the Vine Event, which first occurred along the former UnCork York Wine Trail and now has expanded to include the partners of the new Mason-Dixon Wine Trail. The event has seen significant growth since its start in 2009, with a more than 50% increase in ticket sales.
This year, Wine Just off the Vine Event attendees can expand their own Mason-Dixon Wine Trail experience. Special Winemaker Dinners across the region will feature wine pairings with local cuisine from area restaurants with the unique opportunity to discuss wines directly with the winemakers.
Tickets for the Wine Just off the Vine Event are $15 each and include an official souvenir wine glass and exclusive 10% discount at participating wineries. Designated driver tickets are available for $5. Tickets are valid for both event weekends, allowing unlimited visits to all 13 wineries along the trail! Tickets are available online at www.MasonDixonWineTrail.com and can also be purchased at participating wineries.
Winemaker dinner tickets range from $45-$75 each and include dinner, selected wines, tax and gratuity. For more details and to order tickets, visit www.MasonDixonWineTrail.com or call (888) 858-9675.
