SingleHop Appoints Ricardo Talavera to Vice President of Engineering Post to Lead Automation and LEAP Platform Development

CHICAGO, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SingleHop, a global leader in highly automated dedicated servers, cloud computing and infrastructure-as-a-service, announced today the appointment of Ricardo Talavera to the position of Vice President of Engineering. A hosting industry veteran who has held high-level executive positions, Mr. Talavera will manage the SingleHop development team which builds the company's signature automation capabilities and LEAP platform. He brings years of experience in server and system administration and has previously directed large development operations. He will report directly to Andy Pace, SingleHop's COO.

Mr. Talavera was formerly the CEO of eServer Space Inc., a small Chicago-based startup that became a large private managed hosting company. Holding the position for more than six years, he led a team of software developers that provided infrastructure and software optimizations for some of the most visited properties on the web. While at eServer Space, he supplied his clients with a fully embraced cloud infrastructure platform, utilizing local VMware based hypervisors as well as the leading cloud provider platforms.

He also spent two and a half years as the CTO of Site Canvas where he led a team that provided technology consultant services to the web properties of several music industry stars. He also developed a CMS platform that delivered more than two million unique visits a day with a minimal hardware footprint. Mr. Talavera utilized his experience on the feature film "Untraceable" as a technology script consultant.
