Singing Machine 4TV Featured as one of Dr. Gadget®'s 'Coolest New Gadgets on the Market' on ABC's 'The View'
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Singing Machine Company, Inc. ("Singing Machine" or the "Company") (OTCBB: SMDM) made an appearance on Friday, March 2 on ABC's Emmy Award® winning daytime talk show The View.
The Singing Machine 4TV was recently featured in a Dr. Gadget® segment highlighting 5 of the "Coolest New Gadgets on the Market." Dr Gadget® (who is in his 4th season with The View and regularly makes appearances on EXTRA) showcased the item, describing it as the "new wave and new evolution of karaoke" while The View co-host Sherri Shepherd introduces the 4TV as an item "for the Karaoke, American Idol lover in all of us."
During the minute long clip, Dr. Gadget® explained the new MP3+G player, the USB microphone/remote (which controls all of the user features) and the traditional CD+G function. When he was through, Shepherd and reality TV star/entrepreneur/Kardashian mom-ager Kris Jenner broke into a karaoke rendition of "Take Me Out To the Ball Game." Each member of the 200 person audience received a Singing Machine 4TV to take home with them, as well as one lucky audience member watching at home.
"We were very excited to feature the new Singing Machine 4TV on The View as one of Dr. Gadget®'s 'coolest new gadgets on the market'", commented the Company's Marketing Coordinator, Kelli Bodinizzo. "When we were approached to be a part of the show, it was really a no-brainer for me. The View is a highly-respected, phenomenal program and Dr. Gadget® is the best at what he does. Showcasing and keeping a pulse on the hottest new gadgets out there for consumers, Dr. Gadget® knew, and I agreed, that the Singing Machine 4TV would be a perfect fit for his five item showcase. It was a lot of fun for us to watch."
