In the months leading up to the Sing for Hope Pianos, more than 100 artists were selected to customize the 88 pianos. The artist roster includes chair, president and editor-in-chief of Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington and her sister Agapi Stassinopoulos, as well as fashion designer John Varvatos, who all generously donated their time and creative spirit to design their pianos.
"As someone who found creative inspiration in the personal style of rock and roll icons, I truly appreciate the intersection between art and music that the Sing for Hope Pianos project creates and am honored to support them in their mission," said John Varvatos.
Following the public art project, the pianos will be donated to schools, hospitals and other local groups in the same communities as the installation so that they can enrich lives for years to come.
"The arts have the power to uplift us on a human level that we sometimes forget in our daily lives," said Camille Zamora and Monica Yunus, star sopranos and Co-Founders of Sing for Hope. "With Sing for Hope Pianos, we welcome everyone to tap their inner artist and enjoy, whether that's by playing one of the pianos, listening to someone play or appreciating them as beautiful works of art."
Sing for Hope Pianos is made possible through the generous support of Chobani, Inc., maker of America's No. 1 selling Greek Yogurt brand, and in collaboration with the City of New York.
"Chobani is incredibly proud to support Sing for Hope. Our entrepreneurial organizations both share a mission of access for all—whether that's to music and the arts, in the case of Sing for Hope; or for Chobani, to nutritious, delicious food," said Hamdi Ulukaya, founder, president and CEO of Chobani. "We are so pleased to help Sing for Hope Pianos return to the streets of New York this summer, so that people across the City can experience the uplifting joy that comes from the arts."

About Sing for Hope
The Sing for Hope vision of ART FOR ALL is informed by our belief that the arts have unique power to uplift and unite individuals and communities. Our outreach programs in NYC's under-resourced schools and healthcare facilities demonstrate this every day, and the Sing for Hope Pianos are a summertime celebration that bring this to every corner of our city. If you are one of the millions of New Yorkers who have played the outdoor pianos in Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and other parks and public spaces in the summertime, you know why Sing for Hope Pianos are NYC's most beloved public art project. Ongoing support for Sing for Hope is provided by Sing for Hope's Founders' Circle including The Arnhold Foundation in honor of Sissy Arnhold, The Anna-Maria & Stephen Kellen Family Foundation, and Ann Ziff.
