About WOLF RACING (www.wolfracingcars.com)
Wolf made its appearance in the world of motor-racing back in 1976 when Canadian Walter Wolf founded Walter Wolf Racing. The team took part in four editions of the World Formula 1 Championship between 1976 and 1979, competing with several drivers including Jody Scheckter, Jacky Ickx, Chris Amon and Arturo Merzario. Three wins, including one at the debut, 1 pole position, 2 fastest lap of the race awards, 13 podiums and 79 points defined that period. In addition to the Formula 1 commitment, in 1977 Wolf built a closed-wheels Can-Am challenger and in 1978 a Formula 3 single seater was produced in collaboration with Dallara. The Wolf brand, with its characteristic golden-black livery made its comeback in 2009, when the Italian team Avelon Formula, led by Giovanni Bellarosa purchased Wolf's rights and began an innovative project, the Wolf GB08. The car, a class CN2 Sport Prototype powered by a 2 liters Honda engine opened a new era in the category, reaching 53 wins, 49 pole positions, 47 fastest laps and 8 titles all over the world from 2010 up to now.
