Simpler Consulting Appoints James Spann To Supply Chain Practice Leader, Simpler North America

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Simpler Consulting, a Truven Health Analytics Company and leading global management consulting firm, today announced the appointment of James Spann to the role of Supply Chain Practice Leader, Simpler North America.

Spann has more than 25 years of executive leadership, strategy and operations experience. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Growth at Aramark Healthcare Technologies, responsible for North America operations. Utilizing Lean methodologies, Spann designed and implemented an operational program at the company, resulting in millions in productivity savings in vendor service contracts, outside purchase services, parts management, manufacturing, overtime and service billings. Prior to Aramark, Spann was Vice President and General Manager of AmerisourceBergen Technology Group, responsible for delivering operational improvement solutions for hospital, retail and long-term car pharmacies. In his role, Spann launched a company-wide Lean six sigma program to drive process improvement initiatives.
