Silverpop Achieves 50 Percent Growth in First Quarter
Company Experiences Aggressive Growth and a Strategic Acquisition in Q1 2012
ATLANTA, May 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Silverpop™, the only digital marketing technology provider that unifies marketing automation, email, mobile, and social, today announces significant, quarterly year-over-year sales performance. The company experienced a 50 percent increase in closed new business, as compared to Q1 2011. Additionally, Silverpop increased its Professional Services revenue by about 60 percent and its partner-generated new business by nearly 500 percent, also as compared to Q1 last year.
Included among the many new Silverpop customers are the following companies:
- Acuity Brands Lighting
- CaringBridge.org
- Education First
- Malwarebytes Corporation
- Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)
- U-T San Diego
- Stonyfield
- Thomas Cook Scheduled Businesses
- Wilton Industries
- WOMMA (Word of Mouth Marketing Association)
- ZAGG Inc.
"Q1 2012, and March 2012 in particular, was an amazing time in Silverpop history," said Bill Nussey, Silverpop's CEO. "To achieve this growth solidifies Silverpop's leadership position in the industry and validates the massive market opportunity ahead. We've never been in a better position to deliver game-changing marketing campaigns to our clients, and to continue to re-invest in our customers' success, helping them engage each individual customer and prospect in an incredibly relevant and personal way."
New Silverpop customer Public Relations Society of America highlighted this capability specifically as a key reason for choosing Silverpop.
"We have a very segmented audience, including current members, students, and prospects as well as sub-groups within those audiences, such as specific chapters, chapter leadership and volunteers," said PRSA's senior IT director Alex Ortiz. "Given all the messages we need to share, we felt that we were simply sending too much email, too often. We selected Silverpop to help us meet our goal of reaching those who want to hear from us, how and when they want to do so. With Silverpop we will be able to deliver timely and relevant communications, while reducing overall volume and increasing recipient satisfaction."
Also in Q1 2012, Silverpop acquired CoreMotives, a marketing automation solution that operates completely within Microsoft Dynamics CRM. CoreMotives was an early leader in the rapidly growing Microsoft Dynamics CRM marketplace. Since it operates within the Windows Azure cloud, no installation or maintenance is required. And because it runs within the Microsoft Dynamics CRM application itself, marketers can execute their campaigns without having to learn a new user interface. This was Silverpop's second acquisition in the last year. In Oct. 2011, Silverpop acquired PlacePunch, a location-based marketing platform. The company has doubled its revenue since becoming part of the Silverpop family.
In March, Silverpop was also named Adobe's digital marketing platform partner of the year. The honor, which was presented at the Adobe Partner of the Year awards ceremony during the company's annual Digital Marketing Summit, recognizes top performing partners who drove joint opportunities for both companies, achieved remarkable year-over-year growth, and aligned to develop and deliver innovative solutions to mutual end clients.
"Last quarter is one I am especially proud of, in that we outperformed aggressive goals in nearly every aspect of our business," Nussey added. "From new sales to partner relationships to our expanding product and services offerings, Silverpop experienced tremendous success and the momentum continues."
