Silldorf & Levine, LLP's Attorneys Presenting at Seminars Throughout California
SAN DIEGO, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Silldorf & Levine, LLP Attorneys have been crisscrossing the state of California to speak on homeowner association and construction defect legal issues.
Firm partner Scott Levine spoke last week at the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) "Construction Defects Litigation: From A to Z" seminar at UCLA. On March 22, 2013, Mr. Levine will again present for CEB in Northern California. In fact, Levine is the only plaintiff attorney that is part of the presentation. The seminar will be held at 1:15 p.m. at the Bar Association of San Francisco located at 301 Battery Street.
In 2002, Mr. Levine helped draft Senate Bill 800 (SB 800) which provides the standards for construction defect litigation for homes built after January 1, 2003. Those in attendance on March 22nd will get the experience of being in the trenches as a construction defect litigator. Mr. Levine explains, "As an author of SB 800, it is interesting to provide attorneys with a look at what we intended when drafting the law versus what the law actually states."
On December 13th, Levine presented on SB 800 at the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel Construction Defect Seminar. His lecture focused on a look back at this law during the past ten years and included information on recent trends and developments and motions and evidence related to the Statute.
On January 31, Christina Ciceron spoke on Creative Assessment Collections at the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) Northern California Expo and Law Seminar in Oakland. Ms. Ciceron addressed how swift and aggressive action by a homeowner association can shorten litigation time and decrease collection costs. Ms. Ciceron is an active member of CACM and has lectured on community association law topics for community management companies and board members during the past four years.
Howard Silldorf took the stage on February 22nd at the CACM Southern California Law Seminar at the Disneyland Hotel.
