Silicon Valley executive Arthur L. Chait named president of the Antigua Forum
GUATEMALA CITY, April 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Antigua Forum at Universidad Francisco Marroquin (UFM) announced that Arthur L. Chait has been named president.
Mr. Chait is the founder, past chairman, and CEO of EoPlex Inc., a company that developed a new type of 3D printing allowing the mass production of miniature devices from proprietary precursor "inks" that yield metals, ceramics, and glasses. The technology also enables the creation of complex internal open structures such as chambers and channels. EoPlex was backed by venture capital firms Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Labrador, Draper Richards, and ATA, and was recently acquired by ASTI Holdings. Mr. Chait has been an executive with Solectron Inc., Stanford Research Institute, Booz Allen, Zitel Inc., and Dresser Inc. He teaches entrepreneurship at Notre Dame de Namur and is a mentor at Stanford University's StartX accelerator.
Giancarlo Ibarguen, past president of UFM and chairman of the Antigua Forum, said "We are delighted that Arthur joined our team. His prior experience and leadership is critical to continuing the growth of the Antigua Forum and reaching new levels of excellence and worldwide recognition."
