Sikich LLP Hires Frank Jakosz as New Partner of Not-for-Profit Services
Jakosz brings extensive subject matter expertise and proven thought leadership to growing professional services firm
NAPERVILLE, Ill., May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sikich LLP, a leading accounting, advisory, investment banking, technology and managed services firm with headquarters in Naperville, Ill., recently named Frank Jakosz, CPA, as the firm's newest partner for its not-for-profit services practice.
Jakosz, who has 29 years of not-for-profit accounting experience at two global professional services firms, joins a talented team that includes partner-in-charge, Gary Flori, and partner, Ray Krouse. In addition to providing a variety of consulting services, the group conducts audits for civic and community organizations, colleges and universities, religious and cultural organizations, private foundations, trade and professional organizations and many voluntary health and welfare organizations. In his role, Jakosz will oversee business development for the practice and serve numerous new clients.

He speaks at conferences and training sessions around the country and is an active member in several standard-setting accounting organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). For the AICPA, Jakosz currently serves on the Technical Standards Subcommittee of the Ethics Division and the Alternative Investments Taskforce. He is also a member of the FASB NFP Resource Group.
Before joining Sikich, he served as the Partner-in-Charge of the National Not-for-Profit Audit Practice and the Midwest Region Not-for-Profit Practice Leader at Grant Thornton LLP, and the Director of Not-for-Profit Services for the Lake Michigan Area at Ernst & Young LLP.
Jakosz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from DePaul University.
