Signator Investors Adds Strategist Managed Portfolios to Signator Managed Account Platform powered by Envestnet's ENV2 Technology
Advisory service providers and technology help advisors seize growth in managed accounts
BOSTON, July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Signator Investors, Inc. has added the Strategist Managed Portfolio program (SMP) to its managed account platform which runs on Envestnet's Next Generation Platform (ENV2) technology.
Through one portal, SMP provides Signator's qualified investment adviser representatives (IARs) access to eleven well-known advisory service providers and their managed account portfolios. IARs are able to work with clients to select the portfolios that best meet their needs – whether they prefer a dynamic or tactical investment style, or a portfolio consisting of mutual funds, ETFs or a combination.
"Signator has significantly increased its investment adviser population in recent years, and we're committed to providing advanced tools to help them best serve their clients and grow their business," said Christopher Maryanopolis, President of Signator Investors, Inc. "With the recent momentum in managed accounts, and the fact that it's no longer just the affluent clients who have accounts with a mix of assets, we're very pleased to add Strategist Managed Portfolios to our platform."
"We are excited to play a role in the evolution and growth of the Signator Managed Account Platform," said Lori Hardwick, Group President, Advisor Services, Envestnet, Inc., "By leveraging a 'best of breed' asset manager roster, Signator is providing their IARs with a diverse set of portfolio options that can effectively help meet the unique investment needs of clients."
Through SMP, IARs and their clients have access to actively managed investment solutions with account minimums as low as $25,000 with ongoing portfolio management and a focus on tax management. Among the Strategists currently available on Signator's platform are:
- Alpha Simplex LLC, which uses a dynamic investment style and includes mutual funds and ETFs
- Astor Investment Management LLC, which uses a tactical investment style with ETFs
- Beaumont Capital Management LLC, which uses a tactical investment style with ETFs
- Brinker Capital, Inc., which uses a dynamic investment style with mutual funds
- Clark Capital Management Group, Inc., which uses a dynamic investment style including mutual funds and ETFs
- Morningstar Investment Services, Inc., which uses a dynamic investment style including mutual funds or ETFs
- Russell Investments, which uses a strategic investment style with mutual funds
- Standard & Poor's Investment Advisory Services LLC, which uses a dynamic investment style with mutual funds or ETFs
- Symmetry Partners LLC, which uses a strategic investment style with mutual funds or ETFs
- Wilshire Associates Incorporated, which uses a dynamic investment style with mutual funds
- Vanguard, which uses a strategic investment style with ETFs
SMP is available on Signator's recently upgraded managed account platform, which includes Advisor Managed Portfolios (AMP), built on ENV2 technology . AMP provides qualified IARs the ability to construct risk-based investment allocation strategies or models for their clients using either an asset-based or transaction-based pricing model and allows the IAR to act as an advisor or portfolio manager. Envestnet's platform helps Signator's advisors build and manage the custom portfolios with straight through trading, streamline the maintenance of the models, and makes administration easy with comprehensive performance reporting and billing.
"Having these two programs together on one platform provides IARs flexibility to provide customized solutions based on their clients' needs and how they want to run their practices – while at the same time simplifying the process and giving them scalability," said Maryanopolis. "And we aren't resting here; we're exploring additional ways to evolve the platform – with automated advice and portfolio management tools – to help our advisors better serve their clients," he added.
