Siemens to Bring Answers for Infrastructure and Industry to the Beltway
A Regional Two-day Event Designed to Answer the Toughest Questions Facing Businesses Today
ATLANTA, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy efficiency, green buildings and sustainability are at the top of legislative and boardroom agendas alike, which is why Siemens Industry, Inc. today announced that it will be hosting its next Answers for Infrastructure and Industry (AFI) event in the Washington, D.C., area, March 23-24, 2010, at the Sheraton Premiere Tysons Corner in Vienna, Va.
This two-day, no-cost event features practical seminars on technology, best practices and emerging trends, as well as a hands-on technology showcase and networking opportunities designed to answer the toughest questions facing businesses today.
"To remain competitive in today's challenging market place, our customers require innovative solutions that not only reduce operating costs and optimize processes, but also increase energy efficiency and support environmental sustainability," said Daryl Dulaney, president and CEO of Siemens Industry, Inc. "Through events like Answers for Industry, Siemens is able to meet this need by bringing our technology and solutions directly to customers where they work and live."
In D.C., attendees will be able to customize their own agendas by choosing from more than 50 seminars in four tracks: Industry, Building, Government/Commercial and Water/Environment. These seminars will cover how energy conservation and management, automation and green building efforts are transforming businesses, government agencies, military bases, industrial facilities and medical and educational complexes. The seminars are designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and strategies they need to meet their organization's goals for efficiency and sustainability.
Additionally, attendees will have the option to attend a thought leadership event where they will hear from civic leaders and industry experts about the importance of sustainability, energy efficiency and green buildings for the D.C. region. Kateri Callahan, president of the Alliance to Save Energy, will provide the keynote address. This event will provide a platform for sharing best practices and practical solutions toward achieving attendees' green building goals.
Throughout the two-day event, attendees will also have a chance to visit the Siemens Product Showcase, an 11,000-square-foot technology exhibit where they can experience the latest in Siemens products, systems and solutions in an informal, hands-on environment. Siemens technology experts, partners, distributors and senior executives will also be on hand to discuss how they can employ Siemens solutions for their specific applications to help increase productivity, reduce costs and support environmental sustainability, which can help strengthen their competitiveness in the marketplace.
