Siemens Enterprise Communications CEO Highlights the Business Value of Amplifying Teams
Hamid Akhavan's keynote introduces packages to help companies realize the untapped potential of team performance
HANNOVER, Germany, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CeBIT -- In a keynote presentation here today, Siemens Enterprise Communications CEO Hamid Akhavan outlined the real value to businesses in looking at team collaboration as a corporate asset. As the nature of teamwork has changed with a more mobile, distributed workforce, Akhavan called on businesses to shift their focus "from ports to people" – that is, from communication devices connected to a technology platform, to a focus on the user experience and enabling high performing teams to collaborate. He also unveiled a series of service and solution packages to help customers roadmap their progress to better team performance.
According to a study conducted by Siemens Enterprise Communications*, 79 percent of responders report working as part of a virtual team frequently while only 44 percent find their virtual interactions as productive as working face-to-face. The study also found that employees don't have the tools they need to effectively work as part of virtual team, or find the tools they have frustrating and overwhelming to use, highlighting the opportunity enterprises have to address the untapped potential of their teams to improve business performance.
Siemens Enterprise Communications' amplifyTEAMS vision is to deliver fully integrated communications solutions that synchronize technologies, harmonize the user experience, weave communications directly into the way businesses operate and empower employees and teams.
"Businesses today need to assess whether their virtual teams are collaborating effectively and whether their communication tools align to the way they operate, while still addressing resource and budget challenges," said Hamid Akhavan, CEO, Siemens Enterprise Communications. "The new amplifyTEAMS Now! packages deliver an easy, affordable solution for businesses to amplify collective effort, to dramatically improve team performance."
To help companies accelerate their opportunities to gain value from improved team productivity, Siemens Enterprise Communications today introduced the amplifyTEAMS Now! packages – affordable, quick to deploy solutions to help businesses dramatically enhance communication. Highlighted in a separate CeBIT announcement (insert link), the packages enable businesses to quickly tackle the priorities that will have the biggest impact now, while providing the best practices that will support the business for years to come. The first in a series of broad packaged service and solution offerings will focus on mobile workers, team collaboration, customer service, and customer engagement.
